Vermont Fest 2017 has ended
To return to the main VT Fest  2017 website, go to: http://vita-learn.org/.

How to navigate the schedule: The conference schedule is hosted by Sched.com which allows you to search within the schedule, and filter the schedule to show sessions only occurring on a certain day or time.

You can build your own schedule by creating a free account with Sched.com by selecting "SIGN UP" in the top right corner. To use the filter options, find the "Filter by Type" heading on the right side of the page and select one of the sessions.   A navigation bar will appear, showing all of the tracks.  Hovering over the "Schedule" tab at the top of the agenda will show the different ways to view the schedule.

For more information, watch a how-to video from Sched.com to learn about all of the features.

Using Your Maker Space To Teach Solar Energy, Coding, Circuits, and Collaboration

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

High school students designed, coded, constructed and analyzed mini solar trackers to charge a cell phone. They used a Raspberry Pi and Python to control a servo to track the sun, built a charging circuit with a mini solar panel, and used a laser engraver to build a box to contain it. Not knowing how to do any of this, including the teacher, every student group succeeded in producing a working prototype in three weeks.
